syntor error codes

Post by Sarge, USMC »

Does anyone have a reference for the complete list of codes? I have an OB/10 code here and I don't see it in the manual.

Thanks,

Sarge

I'm assuming that you mean Syntor X9000. I can't tell you what the exact error is, but the "0B" prefix means that its related to MDC. The "10" would give the exact fault with the MDC. For a fail/error code prefix list, check out this link. Some more info on the radio might help diagnose the exact problem. Is this a radio you've had running for a while, and this error suddenly came up? If so, the MDC option board may have failed. Is this a radio you just acquired, and it gave this message when first powered up? If so, the previous owner may have removed the MDC option board before selling it, or it may have had the option board in an external option housing that wasn't sold with the radio. Either way, unless you need MDC, simply read the radio with a RIB and the proper RSS, disable MDC in the codeplug, and write it back to the radio. The error code should then disappear.

0B/10 = MDC1200 board missing or inop. Board is an option board on the X9000 main chassis under the large shield. Chances are, it is not there, or has come unplugged.

If you are NOT using MDC, remove the reference to it in programming.

If you have a bad board, PM me. I have tons of them.
