Dead GP1200

HI , I have a GP1200 trunking radio , front display version, it appears to be dead the only life i can get from it is when i switch it on i get the usal 3 beeps then nothing, no screen , no further sound , no green LED or anything. i have tried different Eproms, different RF baords, different displays and still nothing anyone had a the same problem? would like to get this radio going if possible many thanks ..... Darran

You should try to flash the radio with new firmware,to fix it.

hi many thanks for the reply i have the flash grade tool for the GP1200 it is R02.00.20 01 jun 2001 do you think this may help fix the problem and do i need a special RIB to do this i currently have a ribless programming cable hope to hear from you soon ... Darran

No,not Flashgrade.Flashgrade upgradetools are for the Waris radios!
You need the GM/GP1200 upgradetool and a modified RIB (or Unirib).
