MT1000 portable antenaes = ID ???

Post by Satelite »

Hello :
I have 4ct MT1000 portables in the lo band 36 to 42 mhz split.
Three of the MT1000 radios have the same length antenae of aprox
6 7/8 inches long with a black painted bottom.
The other one is aprox 9 inches long with a silver bottom = no paint.
I have compared them to a VHF 150 antenae and the VHF 150 with black paint is about 1 inch shorter than the three at 6 7/8 inches long.
Do i have the right antenaes ?
How do i confirm ?
Thank you

The black bottom 6 7/8 is a VHF 151-162 mhz The longer one is most likely a VHF lo 40-50mhz

The NAB6064 antenna is for all low band MT1000 radios (30 to 50 MHz). Supplied with the antenna is a chart so that you can cut it to the proper length depending on your average frequency. Uncut, it is about 12" long.

The low band is noticeable fatter than the VHF. If you don't have a known band OEM for comparison put up a pic of what you have.
