MTR2000 as a Paging Transmitter?

Post by PDH »

Hi everybody
Is it possible to use MTR2000 as a 2-level or 4-level paging transmitter?
I've a MTR2000 in place and there is an idle capacity available if I can use the MTR2000 as a paging transmitter I do not need to buy an other one.

Does any guy have an idea?

Thanks a lot

Absolutely you can use the MTR2000 as an Analog or Digital Paging Transmitter by wiring in a 1 ufd capacitor to the General Tx Data Pins on the J5 System Connector. You will be required to also Wire In a Hard PTT to the same connector. If perhaps you're using TRC, you will need to configure a F2 Channel without PL Tx, the TRC should be 1850 Hz Decode on the Base Station. Should you be required to have a COR output for Receiver / Station Activity you should be able to pick up that function from MRTI Interface Connector. Otherwise you'll need a Aux I/O Module CLN1206A and Enable the WildCard in the Station Control Module Set-up Parameters and Script the functions in the WildCard for Station Activity and Receiver Channel "Busy" in Carrier Squelch Mode.

I have been pouring over the MTR2000 manual and don't see the pins you are describing. Can you provide more info about interfacing digital paging?
