Error 80040154 NEW HT1250

I have a new HT1250, and when i go to read it with CPS R06.09.06, I get the error message:
80040154: Couldn't createInstance on device after getting UUID.

What do i do, and how do i get it to read? I want to be able to program this radio asap! please help!

what's the model number of the radio? and is it a new new radio or just new to you?

the radio is brand new, never programmed yet.

You didn't tell us the firmware revision that's installed in the radio now....it should be on the white tag on the chassis along with and near the model number.
Without knowing your F/W revision, I'd guess that your CPS is too old to recognize the codeplug structure in your portable.

Try latest CPS version. I am not sure that 6.10.02 is latest version, but it's from May 2, 2008.

the Ver. No. is R05.13.04

and i used R06.09.06 and it didnt work...

According to the firmware release notes for R05.13.04, CPS version R06.09.06 or later must be used with it. So if you do, in fact, have R06.09.06 it should work. Corrupted CPS/bad installation on your PC is a possibility.

ya, that should work, i'd try another computer. what's your setup, are you using known good cables and rib? have you tried reading another radio with the same setup?
