Someone offered my a VHF 110W Motorola Spectra Radio that is complete and operating on the Ham bands. He is in a bind and offered it for $100. I need to do this before the end of day tomorrow so I need to figure out exactly what it is and if it is worth that. Here is the info I got him to read off on the back.
Serial: 671AVG0213
ID: T836XA7HA7AK
1508216R01 (Not sure where that number came from)
Anyone have any ideas?

They're nice radios, and that's a good price... if you really want a 100 watt two meter radio. For stuff like this, I usually look at the completed auction prices on eBay to see what people are actually paying. If it turns out they're going for $25 there (I doubt it), then $100 would be too much.
The caveat to any Motorola radio is that eventually, you're gonna want to get it reprogrammed.

Yeah I bit the bullet and purchased the software for my XTS3000 and I'm not so sure I want to buy more software.

The ID is actually T83GXA7HA7AK which is a 110watt securenet-capable enhanced control head (A7) radio, and judging by the serial# most likely RSSI and Zone capable.
Re: Need to find out some info on a 110W Motorola Spectra $100
I have a number of this style radio that I have been using for a number of applications. The only difference
in the model numbers is the ones I have are aHA9AK. They came out of government service some time back.
These radios I obtained were originally a dual radio package with a VHF and a UHF radio. They also had a
siren package and an encryption box with each radio. A common SIU (serial interface unit) connected
all the parts together. You had to use the RSS to un-program the siren and encryption in order to
remove those devices from the package. If this was not done, the radio shows an error each time it
is turned on. You also can't do any programming if the encryption box is removed before the software
told the radio it was no longer used.
If this radio had been changed and functional, them the earlier owner has overcome these issues.
