CPS R05.00 PR400

I'm having some problems accessing my PR400 from CPS R05.00. When I read the radio it begins reading fine, gets to about 95% and then errors with
"
Error # 2412

Unable to read.
Check to see if the radio is connected,
radio is powerd on
and COM port setting is correct.
"
When i try and access the unit via 06.04.00 it comes back with "Unsupported model"


Unfortunately some ware along the way someone managed to remove the model number sticker form the unit so I'm not able to most the model number. Mind you once I can read it via CPS I'll be able to.

Any thoughts on how to proceed with this?

The fact you say you try to use CPS version 6.04 leads me to believe you're trying to read it with Professional Series CPS, since the latest version of Commercial Series (needed for the PR400) is 5.07. Obtain this latest version & your problems should be rectified.
