This is my first post so I am sure there will be mistakes.
So here goes, I recently bought a Saber 1 and an ASTRO Saber 1R. The Saber line is new to me, my previous experience has been HT-1000s and one MT-1000. The following is the information on both radios:
Saber 1 Model# H43QXN7139CN
VHF MHz-MHZ (I think)
12 Channels
ASTRO Saber 1R Model# H04RDC9PW5AN
UHF 403MHz-470MHz
32 Channels
Flash Code 000001-002000-5
Host 03.32.00.00
DSP A05.01.03
1 meg
On the Saber 1, is the software is available (for sale from Motorola)?
On the ASTRO Saber, which is the correct software RVN4183 or RVN4138 (or neither)?
Any information/help with accessories and anything else would be welcomed. I do have an account at MOL including software purchasing.
Main use for the radios will be Amateur use and GMRS use and if health condition improves also will be used with volunteer fire department.

Re: Sabers and ASTRO Sabers
Sad to say Saber RSS is not avalible from motorola. If you know someone who has the software they can get that radio programmed very easily. Those are extremley reliable and solid radios.
