HT1250 backup cell replacement

Post by Beach_chaser »

My HT1250 is losing time. The radio clock has lost about 5 hours over the last month or so. It's been on the charger almost that whole time, if that matters.

Anyhow, is this losing time thing a symptom of the backup battery going bad, and if so, is this something I can replace without having to dealer service or depot the radio?

If this IS a service-only thing, is there a typical cost for this kind of repair?

Thanks!

The battery is one source of your complaint. The other, and you didn't mention the firmware revision number on your HT, is that F/W revision numbers prior to R05.09.11 showed this problem intermittently.

The f/w is R03.01.03 Perhaps that might be the problem.

Does Moto still supply newer firmwares for the Waris line?

That they do. R05.13.09 is the latest.
