MTS2000 Model I...Fail 01/82??

Hooked up my MTS2000 to my computer, fired up the CPS, read the radio with no problem. Edited a few things, tried to write back...Communications failed, and radio reads FAIL 01/82. Is that because the firmware is like 1.62, or did I tool the damned radio? Thanks!

that old firmware version isn't compatible with CPS, but most likely if you have a saved codeplug or even a good one to clone in with RSS, it should be okay.
IIRC the radio firmware has to be 5.6xx or higher to be CPS compatible. I have a 900 MTS2000 with 1.55 and can read it just fine with CPS but cannot write to it.

If you've got a Pentium or PII computer loaded with CPS, you should be able to read and write the radio with no problem. What processor are you running, and what version of CPS?

Running the latest CPS, on a Windows XP 2.3 GHz clock speed. It should be golden, but I think the codeplug might have been bad from the get go.
