Has anyone used one of these? I'm looking to it (possibly) as an inexpensive radio to keep in the car to work my PAC/VRS and that's about it, however... I haven't found a whole lot of information about it, particularly if it supports 25Khz spacing, isn't forced into companding on everything, and if the audio quality is decent. The form factor is much nicer than most of the crap Moto has been sending out on the lower-end.
If not, I may look to the BPR40 and/or CP150, but then again... I could just keep a cheap HT750 in there

The radio may be inexpensive but the software is not... $300 for the license.
Re: New(er) CP110 radio
I don't believe the CP110 is capable of operating on repeaters, and I also question whether or not it's a true Motorola product.
From my look through the software at work, it appears to be a simplex-only radio, and based on the tones it makes and the way it programs, sure doesn't look like anything Motorola's ever put out before. Even the antenna is strange looking.
But it seems to be a rock-solid feel!
So no repeaters and no out of band on these.

- What radios do you own?: CDM1250s, CP200, RDXs, DTR550
Re: New(er) CP110 radio
If you need to talk on repeaters the RDX series is actually a better radio but you need to purchase a higher power unit (4 Watt) to do repeaters and custom frequency splits.
CP110 - UHF
2 or 16 channels
2 WATTS
SIMPLEX UHF Frequencies ONLY
Removable Whip Antenna
RDU4100/RDU4160
10 or 16 channels
4 WATTS
Pro-programmed with business frequencies BUT with the Dealer Software you can program to any UHF frequency including repeater splits
