MTS2000 and Tuner issue

Post by MotoFAN »

Hi all!

I own MTS2000 MIII, F/W 05.40. It is last time programmed from latest CPS R02.02.00. I have read radio from latest Tuner version (MTS2000 Radio Tuner Software R02.01.00) and all has passed smoothly - softplots data loaded and available for changing & etc.

But I can't save or print tuning data - these menus aren't available (disabled).

Any ideas?

P.S.
The same situation happened when I used CPS R02.00.01 and Tuner R02.01.00.
I am biggest fan of XTS2500 and ASTRO Digital Saber.

If my memory is correct, the is a little piece of paper that comes with the CDs that warns one, sternly, that the Tuner and the CPS must be of the same version on the computer, or the Tuner will not work. I don't know why, and I've never encountered your problem (since its easier just to give in and update everything every time a new CD arrives).

You not right, because RVN4776S contains CPS R02.00.01 and Tuner R02.01.00, RVN4176U contains CPS R02.02.00 and the same tuner version (R02.01.00).

Was saving and printing ever possible from the MTS series windows tuner? I don't recall ever doing that myself. Reason I'm thinking that is cause the tuner and CPS are nothing more than a special GUI version of the DOS software with an update to the codeplug to make sure you can't read it in DOS anymore.

These menus exist in MTS tuner like is in other tuners (for e.g. for Waris and for Astro/Astro25 radios):

The same issue with ASTRO Radio Tuner R01.02.00 :(

Any ideas how to print or save tuning values?
