Source for custom coax jumpers? 3' N to Mini-UHF for GR1225

Anyone have a source for reliable online retailer to have some jumpers made?

The stock Motorola duplexer cables are crap... Copper braid/clear dielectric... Both N fittings are sucked out on the UHF cables...

You can also use Tessco's cable builder, but I hear the build quality from cablexperts is much higher.

Thats kind of what I was thinking but they don't list Mini-UHF on their site and the ratings on eHate has been way less than what I expected...

I haven't personally bought from them, but there haven't been any reviews on that site in 2 years it looks like, so who knows. If they stand behind their workmanship for 60 days, might be worth it.

It all comes down to the tech who builds it... I'm sure Tessco's build to order could end up being the same thing.

Not defending or supporting them, but I hear they aren't bad.

I'm going to assume at this point it's probably going to be more efficient to simply buy the bulk cable and connectors.

RG-400/U Double Shielded Flexible Center Conductor

or

RG-142/U Double Shielded Solid Center Connector

Both of these are the size of RG-58/U but are MIL-SPEC Coaxial Cables.

I use Pasternack Enterprises quite a bit at work. Use the "Cable Assembly Wizard" on their website to get prices and part numbers for just about any cable you can come up with. If they don't have it listed, call them and they'll quote it. Kind of pricey, but fast. http://www.pasternack.com

They're showing $32.50 for a 3 foot cable with those connectors.

Belden 83242 is $3.04/ft. from Tessco. Silver/Gold/Teflon N-Male connectors are $4.07/ea. Mini-UHFs are $2.62/ea. Less than half the cost of buying premade jumpers.

Again, cable length is critical on duplexer harnesses. 3' "close enough" cables won't cut it if you want the duplexer to tune decently.

"Close enough" was Motorola's design... Go figure...

I was going to use a bit of 50 ohm headend cable (quad shield .320 cable, roughly RG8X size) but couldn't find the correct fittings... Surplus from a misorder since everything we use is 75 ohm. Oh well...

The Pager Geek was able to hook me up with some nice Belden RG142 double shielded jumpers - should be in the mail tomorrow or the next day

Just for reference, my price for a 3' RG-142 jumper with N on one end and Mini-Uhf on the other is $23.22 before shipping at Tessco.
I prefer to buy raw cable and connectors and make the jumpers myself.
