Post by dick33 »

Hello all, is there an easy way to clone or convert my XTS5000 codeplug into my XTL5000 both are 800 mhz. I have about 425 modes in my port. and would hate to have to start over with my XTL. Back in the day I recall some other mobs. had some conversion s/w to do this, Thanks..............

Just do a top level drag and drop between the Astro25 Portable CPS and the Astro25 Mobile CPS. Problem solved.

Thanks for the reply. I'll have to read up on that to see how it works and try it.

FYI - Re: XTS to XTL Clone ?

FYI: What akardam suggests works pretty good - but - some items do not get copied over.

For some reason some of the display menu items do not get copied over and some of the
radio wide tab items do not either or they may need to get adjusted for the particular radio.

Thanks for the trick looks good so far, saved a lot of time. Who would of ever thought you could program a "M" radio on a super fast pc via usb and copy and paste "M" has come a long way. Thanks again for the help.

I "cloned" my XTS2500 cp to an XTL2500 mobile using drag n drop with little difficulty.

Yes it works very good, so good that I tried it with Astro 25 s/w to Astro Saber s/w and worked it just as well also. Thanks again for the trick.
