CDM-1550 Window?

Post by WmHPowell »

Has anyone found a way to move the window on a CDM-1550?
I'd really like to have a 430-480 window in one radio rather than
individual 408-470 and 450-512 radios.
I remember that it might be able to be done in the HTs w/ programming
battery but I don't think that applies to the mobile.

Thanks,
Bill Powell

You want to adjust the bandsplit? It isn't called a window. To date as far as I know, nobody has managed to hack that. It is not something you can do with any version of CPS.

It can be done but the way to do it has not been made public. I've seen radios with the end result, operating out of their band, but don't know how they got that way.

In the case of the 1550's its possible due to FPP. If I remember correctly, there is a bug in CPS that will allow you, to push the FPP boundaries outside their normal limits, thereby, allowing the radios front controls to program frequencies out-of-band.

I don't remember the actual steps, but do know it has to do with the Edit Mode tab.

There is no FPP on a CDM1550
