Yaesu FT7800
Uniden BR330T with RH-96 remote head
Radio Shack amplified speaker for the scanner.
Uniden speaker for the FT7800

Both the BR330T and RF deck for the FT7800 are in the arm-rest cubby.

Passenger leg clearance - note that it doesn't interfere with leg room, even with my big ol' legs!

Antennas... Left side is a Diamond 7500NMO and right side is an Antennex 800mhz for the scanner. Attached via Diamond trunk-lip mounts.

Not bad, The speaker on the console I would have mounted on the side of the console by the base of the mount. Thats me. I like the little cubby for stuff.

I just finished a Charger for a Three letter Goverment agency. All stealth everything mounted in the arm rest. O3 mic, speaker under the passenger seat and mini control head for the lights and siren. Strobes in the headlights and tail/BU lights LED's in the fog light housings. Sti-co on glass VHF

I would have mounted it down there, but I have a 6'9 300lbs 17 year old step-son (LOTS of college football teams eyeing him!) who when riding with us sits behind the passenger seat, which has to be moved all the way forward to give him room to fit in the car. With the seat all the way forward the speaker wouldn't have any room.

nice and clean inside and the front speaker could of mounted up on the pillar by your ear above the seatbelt too but i don't care for the mounting of the antennaes, i never did like those

Regarding the mounts, I am not one to drill... Never have been... Same goes with the speakers - to get them to mount on the pillar just above the seatbelt pivot is a GREAT idea, but would have required me to drill into the plastic to get the speakers to stay in place. The speaker in the back seat on the hump is merely screwed into the carpet, but doesn't move at all.

I used those same mounts on my 2005 Dodge Ram. You can see how the ability to angle the mounts however you want proved to be very useful in this application. Since I had already invested the money in the mounts, I went ahead and reused them. Unfortunate that Jottodesk nor their competition makes a console for use in the non-police charger - I loved how my Ram came out, but this was the best that I could do in the charger.

What is the mount you're using to hold the remote scanner head? Also, are the any guides to running the cable from the antenna on the trunk to the front of the vehicle? I'll be attempting my first install, and have no idea how I'm going to run the cable while keeping it semi-concealed.

It's actually a scanner mount that I got from mountguys.com - http://www.mountguys.com/product_p/cm625-scanner.htm

It came with all the hardware needed and I held onto the clamp-down holder in case I ever wanted to use it in the future.

The antenna cables came in through open space between the seat and the sidewall of the back seat, and were fed through the plastic step-guards until I reached the middle of the front seats.

I used some small split-loom tubing around it and went under the seat to the center console arm rest, where the BR330T scanner lives.

Thanks for the quick response. Another if you don't mind: how is the 330 powered?

Nice install in the Charger. Is the mic mounted in front of the air bag? If so, that could pose a safety problem if the bag is ever deployed. Just and observation.

Because of how I had the microphone cord behind the mount, it did tilt a little towards the passenger side airbag, but was not in the way of it.

Since then I have started running it in front of the mount - makes it easier to access not having to pull it behind the entire assembly.
