Motorola Radius M1225 Replacement Buttons

Post by adamhannah »

Hi, all. First time poster here. I did a search but nothing came up...maybe I didn't put in the right search term. What I am looking for are some replacement buttons (up and down, A, B, C, and that "Z" shaped arrow) for my M1225. The radio works just fine, it's just that the buttons have yellowed a bit from the sun, and I would like for them to be white-looking again. So, anybody out there know where I can find (cheaply) these buttons for the M1225? Also, is it difficult to access and install new buttons? Thanks for any help.

I believe the buttons on those are all one molded rubber piece, very easy to replace.. just pop the front off the radio. You could try cleaning them, just be careful not to get the carbon contacts on the back wet.

Jack is correct when he says the keypad buttons are a one-piece moulded silicone rubber item. For a 4 channel M1225 the p/n is 7580450U03, and for 20 channel the keypad is p/n 7580450U01, $3.45 list. If you want one and you're in the Eastern U.S., pm me. If you live in the Western US, escomm on here probably has one.

Hi, Al. For some reason, when I checked my "View Messages" in the Control Panel, it says my private message to you is still in the "outbox" and is not yet sent, however I had clicked "submit" (it has not shown up in the "sent" section). Don't know what's up there. Anyway, please get in touch with me regarding the keypad for the M1225 20 channel. Thanks.
