HT1250 Error

Post by jban »

I hope someone out there can provide some guidance. I am updating all of our VHF HT1250's. Just tried to write to one of them and got an error message on the radio of "EEPRM CS ERROR". On the computer a pop up message of "Error message 4" and then it says radio not compatable. This radio came in a lot of 20, all legit programmed with legit latest CPS. Radio is ver. R05.10.05. No problems with any of the others.

Any suggestions or is it fried for some unknown reason

Search the forums for the error that is displayed on the radio. You should find some things you can try but its a fairly damning error. Contact your local Moto depot.

Keep programming the codeplug in and it should eventually clear the error.

If it won't allow you to reprogram, the radio will need to be reflashed. This is by all means not a fatal error.

ya just keep trying to write a good codeplug to it, it may take 2 times, it may take 100 but 99% of the time you can get it to work again.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I am past the two attempts but far from the 100 mark. Will keep trying.
