GP340 version 6 back to version 4

Post by bradlington »

Is there a way to change a code plug from a higher version to a lower version .

My old GP340 is ver 4 and my newer one is version 6.0 which I do not have the software for .

Can this be done and what tools would I need to use .

Thanks /Brad

if you are referring to firmware you can not go backwards with firmware

Sure you can..

Stupidity creates job security!

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

OK-I have one saying that one cant go back and one says yes.

Confused -can you elaborate on how to go back or is there a special way to reverse the firmware.

Thanks

There is a labtool kit out there that will allow you to write in any version firmware that you have.
