MSF5000 Base Convert 2 wire to 4 wire

Post by MConners »

Running out of places to look, so thought I would try here. Have an MSF5000 VHF Base Station that I need to configure from 2-wire tone control to 4-wire tone control. The manual that came with the unit from the factory shows how to do this on a TLN3112A control card. (says to move JU4202 and JU4205). Problem is that the card in the unit (original from factory) is a TLN3112B, and it has no JU4202 on it. In fact, there are several apparent differences on the card. Even checked with Motorola Support, and they are having difficuly finding anything on this "B" version of the card. Wonder if anyone else may have run into this or know where I might track down the info on this card? Thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to help.

The 'B' version of TLN3112 is documented in the 'big' service manual: 68-81082E10 [NLA]

To change the card to 4-wire, move the following jumpers to the 'alternate' position:

JU4205
JU4222
JU4226
JU4227

Thanks a bunch!
