Couple of quick programming questions:
I am trying to program a unit to have a page mode (has stored voice board). I set up a channel, set it to Rx only, and using the programmed Quick-Call system with AND un-muting. Here are the questions:
1. Right now I set the unit to A-B\Long B because the tones used are only long ones. Is there an easier way to do this? The tone is 1175hz, so I just threw a random number in the A and 1175 in the B tone
2. How do I set stored voice to automatically start recording the message? Will it stop automatically? How long is the period before recording stops if the transmitting unit has not re-keyed and started transmitting.
3. I have seen units that use the emergency button as a reset like the monitor (open squelch) button on minitors. What does the button have to be programmed to in order to act as a reset in the paging mode?
Thanks

I'm looking to do the same thing. Our long tone freq is 2750 Hz (that's what I think it is anyway) but do I use the same DPL for the rx only channel and what do I put in for the code for the 2750 hz?

Re: HT1250 Programming Questions
just set it to A/B and put the single tone in both so they are the same. and leave AND for the squelch rule. i use the same setup for 1050hz on the weather alert and it works great.

Re: HT1250 Programming Questions
Program the orange button (or any button for that matter) for "Monitor" and then it functions like a monitor / reset button found on the pagers.HarrisonRHW wrote:Couple of quick programming questions:

Re: HT1250 Programming Questions
I was looking to do roughly the same thing on a ht1250. I could be at anyone of 7 stations, and if I'm reading the software right, I can only put in for 4 sets of tones. Am I reading it right?
I just thougt of this, they all use the same "B" tone, and one of the stations is the revese tone of another. Is there a way to make it alert off of the "B" tone, and then create another system for the rouge station?
