GP380 "TEST 2 FAIL" Error

Post by BuRn »

Hi all,

I ran into a problem today, let me explain;

I have two GP380 flashed as GP380's. Model number: MDH25RDH9CK6AE.

I tried a test on one of those with GP3XX F'grade_Select 5 (R03.10.03)
(ENVN4019-) (10 Oct'07) trying to upgrade to the latest firmware
version with a RIBless cable. I am not to much familiar with GP's and,
as you can read on the subject, after the software telling me to
disconnect and re-connect the power source I got a "TEST 2 FAIL" Error.

Searching the web, I learned it is a bootstrap or EPROOM Error, but I
don't know to much about.

Is there anyone who knows what the problem is and if there is any
other options to repair else than sending the hardware to a motorola
service center?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Program the radios with a good codeplug!

Thank You very much Andreas!

Luckily, I've read some topics here, many of those advising of making a codeplug backup before doing anything with the radios. Yes, I've made a backup of the codeplug before and doing what Andreas said, wrote it into the radio and everything is ok now!

Again, many thanks guys.
