MOL question

Post by elkbow »

Dang motorola when i order something has my shipping/order default address messed up, its not the same as in my normal preferences, i would have thought this would have pulled from there, but apparently someone finger punches it in when they setup your account

i can't figure a way to change it, does anyone know? guess i may have to call motorola

You have to call them and then fill out some paperwork to get it corrected/changed.

MOL Main Page -> Contact Us -> Open Case -> Reason= "Customer Maintenance"

Explain the change to the address along with the new address you want the account setup as.

There may be a quicker way to do it by going in to Settings -> Preferences -> General Settings but not 100% sure if that affects the default address for the enterprise or just the user.

And if that doesn't work, I guess you need to call them to change it - odd considering there is no paperwork filled out to setup an MOL account...

can't do the settings/preferences/general settings, my address is correct there, but when you go to settings/preferences/order defaults it is wrong and won't let you correct it there

akardam gave the most immediate answer - call Motorola to have it fixed... Opening a ticket tends to take longer than talking to someone on the phone to get it fixed.

You've done better than me! When I log on; it still shows my address from 16 years ago, when I first became an NSO. At least they have the correct shipping an billing information, though. Nut jobs. I gave up trying to get it changed when MOL came on line. You can imagine the chaos that ensued when I moved from GA to TX two years ago!!!! Still a great deal, though...

lol, yeah maybe i was lucky, i also asked them about getting access to the software in my account, so i could see it, they said fill out the software license agreement online and it will open a case, so i did and got an email, so hopefully they will get that done soon, i ordered some parts already, but it has the wrong number on my street, its supposed to be 8004, but they had 800R, so i know someone fat fingered that in, but doesn't matter, as my mailman knows me and there is only one street in the city and only 10 houses on it with my street name

Talk about SNAFU, I can only hope I don't have to resubmit my billing address again as my town is finally getting addresses changed for the 'new' 9-1-1 'service.

I went from 407 to 272.....In the early days of this address redux, it probably will not matter, but later on..........
