xts 5000 znup and zndn buttons in display

Post by ofd8001 »

In programming an XTS5000 in the astro trunking "arena", I included the "ZNUP" and "ZNDN" buttons in the display menu. However, when writing the codeplug to the radio, these buttons do not show up. A radio tech tried doing the same, for him they appeared, but when he "used" these buttons, they disappear.

Anyone have experiences with this?

Thanks!

The firmware in the radio needs to be R12.00.00 for this to work. What version of firmware do you have?

Yup, as Jim said.. You need R12.00.00 firmware for that to work.

This all goes back to programming radios that have older firmware with new CPS... You don't get any of the features contained in the current CPS unless you have the matching firmware..

Stupidity creates job security!

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.
