MDC1200 decode timing...

Post by SCLarmon »

I have MDC1200 decoding set on my HT1250. The problem I'm having is it will decode and display the ID, but instead of hearing the "bleep" like I do on my CDM1550, I still hear the annoying squawk, mostly when receiving it from a radio set to MDC post. My settings on decode ar 500ms and 50. Any suggestions?

I have the settings as follows:

DOS Auto Mute Duration (ms): 500
DOS Coast Duration (ms): 50
DOS Criteria Type: 1200Hz and 1800Hz.

It bleeps it out on pre MDC, but I'm still getting the squawk on post MDC.

What should I turn the auto mute up to?

you're not gonna get rid of the post, the dos will only help cover up the pre
