I think i finally figured this thing out except for these.

Will hold 255 channels and like 16 conventional zones i think i have all that figured out. But if i program in other than 1 zone how do i scan or listen to other zones? What is the correct button or keypad button to push?

Phone list

I have programmed say 9 Ph numbers in the Phone storage i put the star symbol before each number is this needed and will it work for the Ham auto patch?

Dtmf
Do the key pad send the correct tone to allow me to gring up auto patch?

Can anyone tell me where i need to go from here? I added or at least tried to add a new scan list and getting this warning before i program.

Here is actual wording:

Warning You have defined a conventional scan list entry which is not referenced by any personality. If you continue encoding you will destroy that scan list entry.

Above said when either trying to program or save

The message is pretty clear...

You have defined a conventional scan list entry (an entry in the conventional scan list screen).
You haven't assigned that scan list to any personality.
When the codeplug gets packed, it will destroy any "orphan" scan lists like this.

How do i fix this and assign it a personality? I really appreciate the help!

This is what I have set in F9

Here is what i have at F9

Zone Number 2
Zone Name Feds

1. Tg position 1-16

2. Channel Name i used the freq

3. Personality type =CONV and Number= channels 1-16

4.Talkgroup ID nothing

5. Scan list Assignment available 1-21 i used 2

6. SS&l Nothing

7. Phone. Rvt has a 1

If i change scan list assignment in Zone 2 to 2 then zone 1 also changes to 2 tried programming this way got same warning.

I am about to give up i cant believe this is this hard i must be missing something. Thanks for all the help.
