PR 400 Scan

Post by rescuer »

Hello all,

The FD recently received our PR-400 full keypad VHF radios and thus far seem like fairly good units to replace our aging fleet of P110's and GP300's. I also talked the FD into purchasing the software for the radios and let me make a point to say that there is NO trouble in purchasing software from Motorola. I was impressed at how easy it was after hearing so many stories.

My question concerning the PR-400 is this:

Our old GP300's had a feature that when you took it off scan and moved the channel back to the last active channel it made a beep. By reading the help on the PR400 page it looks like "Scanned Channel Discovery Alert" would do the same thing, however I can not find this option selection at all.

Could someone point me in the right direction, the radios are brand new and the software is only a month old.

Thanks!
Al

If your CPS is displaying the 'tree' along the left side of your screen, left click on the 'scan' folder. The window that appears will let you check scanned channel discovery alert if your radio is not a display model(if it is, the scanned channel discovery alert checkbox will be grayed out).
