cdm 1250 accessory switch

Post by BurnCe »

Ok so this might be out there but about 6 years ago I new a guy that had his cdm setup so he could key up his portable and his cdm 1250 would turn on his emergence lights. Now I know there is a +12 switch out of the 20 pin accessory plug an d with a relay it can handle the lights but I can't figure out how he triggered it from his portable. Thanks for any help -Max

Could have been horn and lights trigged by a call alert from a radio capable of sending an MDC1200, Quik Call II or other paging format the CDM can decode as a page.

I think there's a person on here who had the same setup which would start his car...

up here in buffalo we have this set up that dispatch uses mdc to sound our fire sirens outside our firestations. they set off our quik call tones, and then the mdc. and the astro spectra radios that we have send a mdc back to dispatch saying they recieved the page. this can be utilized for cheaper insurance as well. its an awesome idea.
