CPS/RSS

Post by CaptMuxlow »

I have a question about RSS and CPS
My radio was/is programed with a dos ver of RSS. I have an astro and normal ver of CPS. When i connect my radio to the computer and try and read it with CPS or the astro ver nothing happens at all. But when i switch back to the dos ver it works. Why is this?

What kind/version of windows CPS are you trying to use? Do you have the correct com port set in the CPS before you try and read it?

Stupidity creates job security!

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

Judging by the revision number, 6.04.00 is for Professional Series radios...not for Astro radios at all...so no, it won't work.

What model radio do you have, and what versions of DOS RSS & Astro CPS are you working with?
No trees were harmed in the posting of this message...however an extraordinarily large number of electrons were horribly inconvenienced.
