TRBO password

Post by arlojanis »

Does the TRBO software allow programming passwords? If so, can the password be found like in a CDM?

They can be password protected. Don't know about finding it like most other CPS...later versions of those apparently closed that loophole so I assume TRBO CPS is the same.

If the codeplug is password protected, if you flash the radio will it errase the protected codeplug?
We have a *&^%*$(#)@@#&$ employee that quit and locked our radios and now will not tell us the password.
Needles to say it is a nightmare to deal with.
MOL is not being helpfull with the flashupgrade file since the on line account was in this person's name.
Any ideas on this??????
Please HELP......

The Winhex RAM editor method of finding passwords works for TRBO CPS, just like it does for most others as detailed in the thread below:

http://batboard.batlabs.com/viewtopic.p ... lit=winhex

Follow the instructions posted in the thread. If you do a search within Winhex for the string RC_CPPASSWORD, the password will preceed it in several instances...the 6th, 14th, 16th & 18th in my case when I tried it. Good luck.
