Quick Call II Decoding Question

Post by HarrisonRHW »

First... is it Quik Call or Quick Call?

Second... Is there a way to setup a Pro Series (HT1250/CDM1250) to readout a caller ID with Quik-Call tones like it can with MDC. I know it may sound odd, but it would be helpful because we use all steady tones and they are all within 200 Hz of each other so they all sound the same, and it would be nice to know what units are being dispatched... And no, they do not say one for each one they tone out (for some odd reason).

Quick Call II (i.e., Quick Call 2, QCII, QC2)

I think I know what you're getting at here. You can only set the radio to alert when a tone is encoded from your dispatch center. One tone per channel.

No, you can't alias a set of tones like you can with an MDC ID unfortunately.
