Hello,
Well I am looking to go back to the old standbye Syntor 9000 on low band as it seems to be the best option for this band. My question is to see if it is possible to use the smaller spectra head for this radio? The large, a9 I believe, is a little large for my application. I wish they just had a low band spectra.
Thanks for the help,
Stan

The answer is no. The A7/A5 head is not compatible with the X9000.

The X9000 heads store the mode names directly in the head's memory chips. The smaller spectra heads do not. They receive all their info from the radio via the bus line while it's turned on.
