MTR 2000 Lock UP

Post by ggrabose »

I have seen this before but not as frequent. I have a Mtr 2000 wireline controled that locks up about once a month. This usually casuses a No RX problem but I have seen them Rx but no TX or even a locked keyed issue. The fix is always the same. Recycle the AC power and let the station reboot. One tech experiencing similar problems installed a ups inline with the AC and solved his issues. Your thoughts please? A few of my stations located at tower sites may lockup about once a year. This one is on the top equiment room floor of a Hospital and locks up monthly. All are grounded well.

What is the station software version? The newest software addresses a lockup problem similar to what you have experienced.

I would definately upgrade the station firmware to R03.004.03 (which is the newest). FSB 10174 and it deals with wireline problems and also Tx stuck with no PL issues. If you're a dealer the firmware is free, you just have to have the station serial number and station ID and then open a case with UOST. They will send you the file to upgrade your MTR.
