XTS Series Question

Post by wizard3526 »

Hello,

I have an XTS 2500 and am programming it with CPS version 12 on a trunked system.

I have not been able to find a way to make a talkgroup receive only. Does anyone know if it is possible to do so? I did find the TX inhibit feature, but it applies to the entire radio, I want to only make certain talkgroups receive only.

Thanks

Nope, no TX inhibit (or rx only) per talk-group. This stinks, as I have a bunch of TG's that I never need to TX on as well.

The only radio that I know of that allows you to make a trunking talkgroup receive
only is the EF Johnson 5100 portables and the 5300 mobiles. Be a little careful
with which firmware is in the radios. The earlier versions may or may not have this
feature.

Other than the firmware version and which version of the PCC software you use on
these radios, the RX only setting works very well. Have a good number of these
type radios that are set up with some RX only talkgroups.
