Select & unselect speaker muting during PTT is configurable by the installer to meet customer requirements.

In the CIE manual, you will find two jumpers. JU22 and JU25 (off the top of my head).

1 mutes select on Tx
1 mutes unselect on Tx.

good luck

okay one more question since the moto techs can't help with this either and I have no formal training on gold elite first system

only way i can get elite dispatch to load and work is to

1 unplug console cable coming from CEB
2 start elite dispatch
3 slect config file
4 wait for link is down
5 plug in console cable
6 use console

so if the pc locks up or goes out for some reason its a 6 step process to get it going and "M" has no idea

You shouldn't have to unplug anything. When CCGE loads on the PC, you will get the error DISPATCH NOT READY - LINK IS DOWN. It does that every time the program loads. It will clear itself after 5-10 seconds and continue to load. You'll get the window to select a configuration and off you go. I named the configuration "USE THIS ONE" to eliminate any question about which one to use. That's my experience from using and configuring it.

Yeah nmfire I figured that it should work just fine but it doesn't if you leave the cable hooked up it just sits there forever then you have to click shutdown and do the 6 step process
