Moxy mic wiring

Post by KC0QNB_1 »

I have an old Moxy mic well actually the guts of a moxy mic, I pulled it out from a melted hand mic. I modded it for another use but that was years ago, and I can't remember how I hooked it up. I know it needed a power source for the preamp and the condenser element. there is the signal wire and the shield wire still attached to the board.
The number on the board is 84D82888MOT, any help?

The "signal" wire is probably the MIC Audio+DC for the amp. The Shield is the MIC low or ground in most applications.

Most all Motorola mobile microphones made since the 60's use the same DC bias and have an amplifier.
