GM160 as REPEATER

Post by Said »

Hi. I took 2 VHF GM160 and connect them to have a repeater via a 5mhz duplexer wiring as follow :

TX-----------RX
pin3---------pin8
pin2---------pin11
pin7---------pin7

When i put it on the air & tried with 2 portable radios(GP344) i have a weak modulation on both radios.
Have i made any mistake ?? :o
Vy tnx for your help.

The mistake can be in audio level mismatch:
RX Audio - pin 11 - 700 mVrms at 2/3 dev;
TX Audio - pin 2 - 80 mVrms to 2/3 dev.
Try to reduce Accessory Mic Gain in CPS.
