XTVA & XTS 5000

Post by ofd8001 »

Is there a setting in the radio programming software one must set in order to use an XTS 5000 in an XTVA?

All I get is real low audio, no charging lights or anything else to indicate it is working. I know I have good power to the XTVA as I tested it with a meter. I changed speakers to no avail. I even scrubbed the contacts with an eraser.

Thanks!

Lance: What?
Kilgore: Napalm, son. Nothing in the world smells like that.
Kilgore: I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end...

XTVA control board is most likely got issues, if you can do SMC work, you can dis-assemble the unit and try to repair. If it's under warranty, send the XTVA back, if not, flat rate is $400+.
