What radios do you own?: A few APXs

EX600 HUM

Post by pluto1914 »

I have had an EX600 for a little while now. I have CPS ver 06.09.06. I am trying to figure out why I have a hum on repeaterized channels that use a PL. A repeaterized channel with a DPL doesn't emit the tone and a simpex channel with a PL doesn't emit the tone. I have the APF off because of and audio issue in scan.

Any ideas? Time for a firmware upgrade? My current firmware is R05.09.02.

Thank you in advance!

search for ht1250 with a hum should answer your question. If you have mdc decode set on the personality that is what is causing your hum. Two choices turn the mdc decode off or change the base band offset. search for that and you will find posts regarding how to do it.

Brother,

I tried searching the forums for both "ht1250 with a hum" and "ht1250 hum" and i did not find any instructions. I'd like to keep the MDC decode enabled so if you could direct me to the instructions on how to change the base band offset I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!
