UHF GR1225 Stock Duplexer-Will it tune down to 446 Amateur?

Post by Cowboy »

We currently have a UHF GR1225 repeater with the stock TDE7780 duplexer tuned for a GMRS split... Will this duplexer tune down in to the 446 Amateur band or does it flat die at 450 as spec'd? The repeater was previously used for GMRS in the middle of nowhere, however, we have a more practical use for a tactical amateur repeater.

Otherwise, looks like we'll be in the market for a replacement duplexer...

Thanks!

If it's the Cellwave unit that I think it is, I have put a few dozen of them down in the ham band with no problem at all.

Awesome, that's what I was hoping for :)

The Motorola branded duplexer bears the RFS/Cellwave model number of RFE4000A, Serial number V210547-243...

Thanks!
