OK for this weeks test of skill we have the mystery Motorola part to ID.
What is it? (easy part)
what does it go in? (hard part)

ANYONE can use MOL, but a true Cliff Clavin of Motorola knowledge will not have to!!!!

Well, it looks like an upside down Timeport P935 keypad to me???

Is that part of one of those dumb Motorola Instant Messenger things you give your kids to keep them off the PC so you can use it while they LOL and OMG and WTF their friends from this little device? The "IMFree" it's called. After looking at one, I don't think so but I'll leave my guess up.

That is a "shield assy vocon model III" (for an XTS5000) P/N 2685567d03, or at least that is what someone at Motorola thinks it is. I don't know how they made that mistake, but they did. I just receive a few today, I was wondering why the box was so big on some of them. I did receive 1 box with the correct part.

Looks to me to be part of one of the inventory management tools motorola built before they aquired Symbol.

No RF device I know of, unless you want the world to puke when I say Telario, would have a keypad with a through opening similar to this.
