i have a mtva kit for my mts2000 i want to use it as a base at home how do i connect it to a power supply unit what do i do with the yello wire that comes from the interconect cable

Just off the top of my head, red to hot, black to ground, yellow to ignition switched, If using it with a power supply or you don't want the ignition switched option on mobile, the yellow and red can both be tied to the supply Positive.
