CDM1550 Programming Issue with Remote Head

Post by K8COP »

Just changed a front mount CDM 1550 to remote mount using the Motorola kit. I am unable to read/write to the radio via the mike connector. If I program it through the rear radio jack, it works OK.

Is this normal????

Seems hit or miss when programming through the head when it's remote mounted. I've never had a problem reading/writing a remote mounted CDM through the mic jack, personally.

motorola put out a bulliten on this a long time ago, either put the head back on the radio during programming or use the rear connector
