Hello all

Can i email my code plug and have it re band to 512 from 470.

I tried to follow the instruction myself and bricked a radio, but i have another and I'm not going to try again. So can i email my code plug to have someone do it for me.

And i will donate via paypal

It is a Astro saber with the apco-25 flash

To change bands you'd have to find a donor codeplug of the appropriate band and flash. However, just changing bands doesn't automagically make the radio able to operate on those frequencies.

Why not just modify the CPS to allow a 470 to go to 520?

Changing bands with your original codeplug, you'll need to change the tuning blocks as well as a bunch of other fields.

I see 2 options, mod the CPS, or shove in a S-split codeplug.

I've yet to see a R split Astro Saber that will go all the way to 512mhz.

Secondly, it's just bad news to shove a wrong-band codeplug into a radio.

If the OP needs a true S split radio, would be best to acquire one.
