MTS-2000 Question

Post by yardbirdjr »

Hello All!

Just a quick question?

Can a MTS-2000 be converted to a FPP Model.

What I am asking is I travel alot and would like to have a radio that I can program without the aid of a computer.

I know the XTS-2500, XTS-3000 and XTS-5000 can be done like this.

The JT-1000, is basically the same radio as the MTS-2000 with a different controller am I right or not?

I also know there are other brands that will accomplish this as well.

Right now I have several spare MTS-2000's and would like to convert one, without buying one.

Please pm me if able to help

Thanks

Don't get an XTS-3000 for that either. It does NOT do FPP.

The JT, while FPP, can do nowhere near the amount of features a properly flashed MTS can do (Ie- only 16 channels, no MDC, etc. etc.). However, as others have pointed out, the MTS is NOT FPP capable. Your better off getting a XTS5000 or 2500 for FPP.
Good luck on whatever you get, you can go wrong with ethier XTS :)
