In case Spectra owners were unaware, XMO did some amazing work dealing with the problem of programming out-of-band frequencies into Spectras, as detailed here.

With that in mind, another thought occurred to me (and perhaps XMO would like to take on another challenge?)

Would it also be possible to tweak the limit on the number of modes in a conventional radio? Could it be as simple as just changing another byte or two in the RSS?
