I have a VHF MCS2000 that I have used before, it has set for a while and now I can not hear any audio out of the speakers. I have the jumper on what I think is #1 and #2 pins, the plug is one from motorola. The radio is receiving (tell by the yellow light) but no audio is heard. I've tired reprograming with diferent settings, and even made the channel csq and it doesn't matter. TX is fine, just can't hear any audio on RX.
Is there any other jumpers that need to be in the 25 pin plug? This is a single control head radio that used to be a dual CH radio that I've used as a single before this. This is driving my nuts cuz I know I've done this before
Thank you for any help in advance.

Re: MCS2000 Audio question
1 SPKR+
2 INT SPKR+
3 SPKR-
So pins 1 and 2 would have a jumper. See if you get speaker audio on pins 1 and 3.

Re: MCS2000 Audio question
Pin 9 (emergency) also needs to be jumpered to ground...Pin 4 or Pin 10 will do the trick. The radio normally gives error 01/79 when the jumper is missing, but I have seen where it doesn't and the radio can have several weird issues.
No trees were harmed in the posting of this message...however an extraordinarily large number of electrons were horribly inconvenienced.

What type head? (I, II, III?)
Do you have it set up as a remote head or as a one-piece radio?
If it's a remote head are you using the front head (the front and rear are different)? What cable are you using? What speaker?
People, you need to supply more detailed information about your setups.
