ASTRO Spectra and VRS SP02

Yes this is the cheap "hammy" in me shining through -

Will the regular VRS SP02 work with the ASTRO Spectra, or do I need the VRS EP? I am not looking for Mode steer or any other fancy features...just a functional VRS.

You could always plug it in and find out, but Motorola would say "no".

I connected a PAC-RT to an astro-spectra. Had to do a couple of mods to the PAC-RT & the astro-spectra, but it worked great.

Can't get any cheaper than that!

I wrote it up and have it somewhere if you are interested.
