Digital Scanners

Post by W3MOT »

I know this is a tad off topic, but I'm sure this is the best place to ask...

I want to purchase a portable digital scanner, but I've been into radios for years now and I've since paid less attention to the scanning community. In doing so, I've 'missed' all of the newer stuff they have out to offer now. I know they recently came out with a line of GRE scanners but I don't really like GRE/RS products. They break too easily. (Unless they've changed since I've last owned my Pro-97.) I used to have a BR330T (analog version of the 396) and I really liked it.

The only thing I need is something with good, loud audio and something that will decode NAC codes. I don't need 39,000,000,000,000,000 channels so that new GRE scanner they have it isn't a priority for me. That's pretty much it. If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it!
