Model # Trouble

Post by kd8ake »

I have a model number for a motorola radio I think is A gm900 or GTX. It has a logo on it that says Southern Linc by Motorola. I don't actually have the radio in my hands to read the codeplug.
Model #: m12uck8nr38n
Can any one help?

From what I have read, it doesn't really matter what the radio looks like, as their firmware is only set to work on the SouthernLinc system, which is supposedly pretty similar to the NEXTEL network. You cant put conventional channels in them, and they dont take regular RSS. I did hear that they make pretty good doorstops, though.

Look around, I remember a couple other threads on them.
